Product overview

Resin insulated dry-type transformer is safe, flame retardant and pollution-free, and can be directly installed in the load center. It is maintenance-free, easy to install, low in comprehensive operation cost, low in loss, good in moisture-proof performance, and can operate normally under a humidity of 100%, making it able to be put into operation without pre-drying after shutdown. It has low partial discharge, small noise, strong heat dissipation capability, and can run with 120% rated load under forced air cooling condition. It is equipped with perfect temperature protection and control system, providing reliable guarantee for safe operation of transformer with high reliability. According to the research on the operation of more than 10,000 products that have been put into operation, the reliability index of the product has reached the international advanced level.

Range of application

This product is widely used in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, hospitals, laboratories, schools, theaters, offshore drilling platforms, ships, petrochemical plants, stations, airports, subways, mines, hydro-thermal power stations, substations and so on.

Core

The iron core is made of high-quality oriented cold rolled silicon steel sheet material, with 45-degree fully inclined seam structure; the core leg is bound with insulating tape, sealed with insulating resin paint on the surface to prevent moisture and rust; clampings and fasteners are surface treated to prevent rust.

Low pressure foil coil 

For low-voltage and high-current coils, the short-circuit stress during short-circuit is relatively large, and the number of low-voltage turns is relatively small. The bigger low-voltage current is, the more prominent the problem of unstable ampere turns is when winding form is adopted, and the heat dissipation problem shall also be emphatically considered. At this time, foil winding for low-voltage can better solve the above problem. First, foil product does not have axial turns and axial winding helix angle; its ampere turns of the high-voltage and low-voltage windings are balanced, and the axial stress of the transformer during short-circuit is relatively small. Second, due to its thin insulation, it is easy to set up multi-layer air ducts in the process, thus the heat dissipation problem can be better solved.

Hv casted winding 

The coil uses F-class insulated copper conductor as conductor, glass fiber and epoxy resin composite material as insulation; its expansion coefficient is similar to that of copper conductor, and it has good impact resistance, temperature change resistance and crack resistance. All components of glass fiber and epoxy resin are self-extinguishing, and will not keep burning, nor will they produce toxic gases and pollute the environment. Epoxy resin has good insulation characteristics and is especially suitable for making coils with high voltage level.

Temperature control

All transformers are equipped with overheat protection device which realizes transformer temperature detection and control via the Pt thermistor embedded in LV coil. The device can provide the following functions:

1. Display the temperature value of the three-phase winding in cycle during the operation of transformer.

2. Display the temperature value of the hottest phase winding;

3. Audible and visual warning, fan startup;

4. Fan overload protection and computer interface.

Cooling way

The cooling methods of dry-type transformer are divided into natural air cooling (AN) and forced air (AF) cooling. When natural air cooling (AN) is adopted, rated capacity can be continuously output. When forced air cooling (AF) is adopted, the output of transformer can exceed 40% of the rated load on the nameplate. It is suitable for various emergency loads or short-term load operation. Long-term continuous overload operation of forced air cooling (AF) is not recommended due to large load loss and impedance voltage increase. Operation of transformer requires an appropriate ventilation volume.

When the transformer is installed in basement or in an environment with poor ventilation, a heat dissipation ventilation device must be added. The ventilation volume is selected according to the air volume loss of 2-4m/min per 1kW.

Protect shell and line bus

Dry-type transformers generally have no enclosure protection, i.e. IP00. Enclosures with IP20, IP23 and other protection grade requirements can be added as required by the user.

IP20 enclosure can prevent solid foreign matter with diameter larger than 12 mm from entering, providing safety guarantee for live parts.

IP23 also has the function of preventing water droplets from flowing in in an angle of 60 degrees with the heavy straight line, and is suitable for outdoor operation.

IP23 enclosure will reduce the cooling capacity of transformer by about 5% for small capacity and by about 10% for large capacity.

Enclosure materials include steel plate painted, aluminum alloy and stainless steel. When the enclosure is made of steel plate, the user can choose color of the enclosure.

The low-voltage outgoing line can use standard bus outgoing line, either from side or top, or special outgoing line mode can be designed as required by the user.

Indoor use

The way into the line diagram

For distribution transformers, conventional outgoing lines, standard enclosed bus outgoing lines and standard side outgoing lines can be manufactured according to different interface forms, or special outgoing lines can be designed as required by the user.
